Garden Maintenance - Team Lead Aspen Landscapes is a Wellington-based, premium landscaping and gardening company. We specialise in transforming outdoor spaces into stunning areas you'll be proud to call your own. As a Garden Maintenance Team Leader, you'll take the reins of one of our maintenance crews. Reporting to the Garden Care Manager, you'll organise and oversee jobs while keeping your team motivated, efficient, and proud of their work. You’ll be hands-on in the garden, building strong client relationships, mentoring staff, and helping Aspen Landscapes deliver outstanding results every time.
You’ll play a key part in our continued success by hitting project targets, lifting standards, and strengthening Aspen’s reputation as Wellington’s go-to garden care team.
Position Details: • Hours: 44 hours per week - Monday to Friday (4pm finish on Fridays) • Tools, uniform, PPE, work boot allowance and Work to provided • Sociable, fun, and positive workplace where teamwork and a great attitude are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities: - Leading your team in maintaining residential and commercial gardens - Carrying out tasks like weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, spraying, and fertilising - Spotting garden improvement opportunities and recommending seasonal upgrades - Keeping tools and machinery well-maintained (excluding electrical repairs) - Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members – we’re all about growth - Managing job progress and customer satisfaction from start to finish - Collaborating with the wider Aspen crew and horticulture team

Casual Labourer - Construction Team Join Aspen Landscapes as a Casual Labourer and gain hands-on experience working across a range of exciting outdoor projects in Wellington. You’ll support our construction teams on-site, helping to bring landscape designs to life with decks, fences, paving, retaining walls, and more.
We’re after someone reliable, physically fit, and ready to get stuck in. While experience using tools or working in construction is a bonus, we’re happy to teach the right person who brings the right attitude.
Position Details: • Hours: 44 hours per week - Monday to Friday (4pm finish on Fridays) • Tools, uniform and PPE provided • Sociable, fun, and positive workplace where teamwork and a great attitude are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities: Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing sites, digging holes, loading and unloading materials, and keeping the worksite clean and organised. You'll also use a variety of hand and power tools, and may be required to collect materials from suppliers, so a clean driver’s licence is essential.
The Ideal Candidate:
A great attitude and strong work ethic
Some experience using tools or in construction (preferred)
A full, clean manual driver’s licence (preferred)
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Willingness to learn and work safely as part of a team
